Local Connector Program FAQs
No. There's no fee and no subscription to buy.
No. You earn only on businesses you introduce that become customers. There's no downline, no recruiting bonus, and no pay for signing up other Connectors.
You earn 15% of the eligible licensing revenue we collect from each customer you introduce, plus a one-time $100 bonus when each new customer qualifies. For example, a customer with $200 a month in eligible licensing earns you $30 a month, or $90 over a quarter. In the quarter they qualify, add the $100 bonus for $190. Examples are illustrative, not product prices or a guarantee of income.
Commission starts adding up with your customer's first paid month. Once they've completed 60 consecutive days of paid service and are current on their account, what you've earned is released in the next quarterly payout: January 20, April 20, July 20, or October 20. Payment is by direct deposit (ACH), and we'll need a completed W-9 before your first payment. You'll also get a statement every month.
Recurring software license charges we actually collect, after discounts, credits, and refunds. Commission excludes messaging and usage (SMS, MMS, voice, video, AI), message bundles, additional phone lines, taxes, carrier, registration, and compliance fees, payment processing fees, onboarding, implementation, training, professional services, integrations, and other one-time charges. When licensing is bundled with other services, we confirm the commissionable portion in writing when we accept your introduction.
To keep earning recurring commission, have at least one new customer qualify every 12 months. If a year passes without one, commissions pause, but anything you already earned is still paid. The day your next new customer qualifies, commissions resume on all your active customers. We'll send a reminder about 60 days before a pause would start.
That's normal. Once we accept your introduction, we confirm your credit in writing, and you earn when the business becomes a qualified customer.
Existing Captivated customers, businesses already in active conversations with our team, businesses another partner introduced first, your own business or companies you control, and free trials. If two partners introduce the same business, we credit the documented first introduction.
No. Our team handles the demo, pricing, contracts, billing, onboarding, and support. Connectors who complete training may be given access to prepare draft quotes with our approved pricing tools, and we approve every quote before it reaches the prospect.
No. The program is nonexclusive, so you can refer anywhere, and so can other Connectors.
Your commission follows the eligible licensing revenue we collect, so it adjusts with upgrades and downgrades. The $100 bonus is paid once per new customer organization; added locations, users, or lines within the same customer don't earn another one. Separately owned franchisees may qualify as new customers if we accept them as distinct customers in writing.
Captivated holds the customer contract, billing, and service relationship, and your credit gives you the right to compensation. Your own relationships with the business, and any services you provide them, remain yours.
Either side can end the agreement with 30 days' written notice. Commissions on customers who had already qualified may continue for up to 12 months afterward, subject to your activity status, and anything already earned is still paid.
Businesses with about 5 to 25 employees where more than one person handles customer calls, texts, or scheduling. That fits businesses of nearly any kind, from lawn care, pest control, and home services to auto dealers, medical practices, schools, nonprofits, and everything in between.
Approved providers can package Captivated into their own offering under a separate wholesale order that sets pricing, billing, and support. Standard commission and the $100 bonus don't apply to wholesale accounts, but you can still earn them on businesses you refer directly.
Participation is subject to Captivated approval and the Captivated Local Connector Agreement, which governs if anything on this page differs. Compensation is 15% of eligible software licensing revenue actually collected, net of discounts, credits, and refunds, and excludes messaging and usage charges, message bundles, additional lines, taxes, carrier, registration, compliance, and pass-through fees, payment processing fees, onboarding, implementation, training, professional services, integrations, and other nonrecurring charges. Recurring commissions require at least one new qualified customer every 12 months. The $100 acquisition bonus is paid once per new customer organization. Connectors are independent contractors; a W-9 is required before payment and a Form 1099 is issued where applicable. Earnings examples are illustrative and are not a guarantee of income.
